The webinar focused on experiences with operating a voucher system and answering common questions. The participants had the opportunity to submit their questions directly via various platforms, which we summarize again below.
At the beginning of the introduction of a voucher system, participants were faced with the challenge of convincing both citizens and companies of the benefits. Simone Jansen, responsible for economic development and city management in Gersthofen, Bavaria, emphasized the need to alleviate the initial fears of a new system from companies and retailers and to set momentum in motion: “I think one of the challenges is above all convincing people of the added value this card offers. ”
Christoph Beck, operations manager at the think tank in Stegen, a full-service provider in the advertising sector, added that additional persuasion is needed in rural regions to make digitization understandable and tangible: “You have to alleviate people's fear of digitization a bit. ”
The participants took various measures to promote the use of the voucher system. Traditional advertising measures, cooperation with local advertising communities and targeted marketing campaigns such as bonus campaigns were particularly successful. Markus Löw, board member of the business association in Neustadt an der Aisch, Bavaria, reported: “We have taken various measures to get out to the public, such as distributing flyers and working with local advertising associations. ”
The use of social media was also emphasized as an effective method of publicizing the system. Christoph Beck explained: “There is no way around social media. We have a very strong presence on LinkedIn and Instagram and regularly report on the Black Forest Kärtle. ”
Technical challenges in using the system were also addressed. Markus Löw emphasized the ease of use of the system: “The system is relatively easy to use. When you show people live how it works, everyone actually says afterwards that it is much easier than expected. ”
Another important aspect was the integration of the system into existing cash register systems. Patrick Schulte from Awiti explained: “Integration into existing cash register systems can be a challenge. But Awiti is integrated with around half of the cash register systems in Germany and therefore offers a good solution.”
The participants are planning to further expand the voucher system, in particular by integrating employee vouchers and expanding to rural areas. Markus Löw explained: “We are trying to move more towards employee vouchers and to establish the system from cities and also in rural areas. ”
Finally, the participants made recommendations for other regions that would like to introduce a similar system. Simone Jansen emphasized the advantages of Awiti: “The platform is ready and easy to use. We have contacts we can contact directly. ”
The continuous development of the platform was also positively emphasized. Markus Löw explained: “The system is constantly being developed. Many ideas are taken up and integrated into the system. As the system was a year and a half ago, it is far from being anymore. ”
The webinar clearly showed the advantages and special features of Awiti's voucher system. Through simple operation, continuous development and the option of integration into existing systems, Awiti offers a reliable and flexible solution for regional voucher systems. The participants' positive experiences underline the suitability of Awiti for various regions and applications.
